Different techniques of deriving distances of clusters using a distance indicator are discussed and compared in regard to the sample selection bias. The large-scale peculiar velocity field as traced by our sample clusters is found to be highly nonrandom, and appears to be a coherent flow, in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) frame; the flow is towards the general direction of the "Great Attractor," with an amplitude of some 400-600 km s^-1^ at the position of the Local Group (LG).
