Abstract
Susanna J. Sturgis has been publishing poetry, criticism, and essays in feminist and other publications for the last ten years. A longtime sojourner in Washington, D.C., where she was indeed involved in a local lesbian history project, she moved to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, in 1985. Lapsed Archivist is part of New Arrival, an unpublished collection of poems written her first year on the island. Susanna makes her living as a chambermaid, proofreader, and free-lance typist and recently completed editing Memories & Visions, an anthology of women's fantasy and science fiction, to be published by Crossing Press.
