Abstract

The article is devoted to the opposition of the language of war and the language of peace which proves the tendency of language militarization manifested in active use of military terms, military metaphors, in wide typology of war. There is a certain shift in understanding and treating the meanings of the lexeme «war» from armed conflict to struggle, actions and competition to solving urgent problems, questions in different spheres of social life: economics, politics, medicine, sport, food, etc. Pragmatic meanings of war metaphors, military lexis, are connected with the definition of modern reality as the war and aggressive struggle against everybody and everything in which politicians, businessmen, ordinary people are not interested in joint solution of problems. In such conditions the language of peace is loosing its position. Peace is the conception, based on creation, not on negation, on useful and productive actions.
