Abstract
Neither Daphnia hyalina, Daphnia cristata, nor Daphnia cucullata vertically migrated in Lake Mikolajskie and Lake Majcz. We suggest that even under strong fish predation pressure there is no reason to migrate when seston is relatively homogenously distributed throughout the water column.
