Abstract

The two daughter cells produced by the mitosis of an eukaryotic cell present some patterns of organization with mirror-symmetry. For example, during the metaphase the succession of chromosomes in the ring of equatorial plate develop in the clockwise direction for the daughter D-cell and in the counter clockwise direction for the daughter L-cell. A similar mirror-symmetry is manifested between the patterns formed by the molecular receivers of the two daughter cells. This is a topological information, which interferes in the cellular differentiation and in the structural development of the polycellular organisms.
