The Knowledge of Midwife in Giving Vitamin A during Puerperium In Public Health Center

Abstract

Vitamin A is an organic compound that the body needs from the outside because the body can not produce it. The coverage of of vitamin A in postpartum women in Sidoarjo regency was 95.01% nd the coverage of vitamin A in Public Health Center was about 72.98%. So that vitamin A is still less than the national target (100%). The aim of this study indentified the description of knowledge, by provision of vitamin A capsules to postpartum women. This study is an analytical study conducted on November 2017 until Jnuary 2018. Respondents are all midwives who are in the areaof Public Health Center, totaly 19 midwives. The research instrument using questionnaire the validity and reliabelitas already tested. The data processing by the frequency of table and cross taultion then performed Rhank Spearman test with the result P Value = 0,199 means >0.05 then H0 accepted it is means there is no significant relation between knowledge of midwife with vitamin A that is giving to postpartum women.
