Abstract

The kinetics of 2D domain growth is analyzed using the following assumptions: the number of equivalent ground states is high ( p ⩾ 3), domain boundaries are more or less direct, the domain growth is caused by creation and annihilation of kinks at vertices and by their diffusion along boundaries. Simple qualitative arguments show that the growth exponent should be equal to or higher than 1 4 .
