Abstract

The Journal of Dionysian Economics, or JDE, as we like to call it, is a virtual journal; that is, it does not yet exist. I, not yet virtual, am its editor. We’ve decided that in its early issues the Journal will only publish articles that have already passed peer reviews and been published by major economic journals, that is to say, these are all deservedly well regarded by the profession. However, these papers must now pass our own peer review and complete the requested revisions. Our instruction to reviewers is that they appraise each article according to four criteria: predictions, replication, persistences, and distancing. Each of these will be familiar to readers of Dionysian Economics. A few words about each appears on the Review Sheet sent to each reviewer though the shortage of currently qualified reviewers means that our stalwart editor is actually performing that job.
