Abstract

Objective To investigates the job stressors and correlative factor analysis of nurses in infectious disease department. Methods Job stressors were investigated in 49 nurses of infectious disease department with Nurse Job Stressors Questionnaire. Results The total score among the subjects was 72.86± 20.81, which was in high degree. The main job stressors were the low salary and social status of nursing specialty, the little chance of further study and promotion, the worry of making mistake in working, high frequency work in shifts, absence understanding by other medical staffs. There were no distinct difference in different age, length of service and professional title (P > 0.05). Conclusions The job stress was more stressful in nurses of infectious disease department. It should be attached importance to nursing manager, taking effective steps to prevent stress with particular condition. Key words: Nurse; Infectious disease department; Job stressors
