Abstract
The density and sound velocity in aqueous solutions of a number of alkali halides have been measured at a series of concentrations at 298.15 K. The results have been fitted to equations expressing the density and isentropic compressibility of the solutions as a function of the concentration. The apparent molar volume and compressibility of each solute at infinite dilution have also been determined.
