Abstract
Oxygen deficient ceramic YBa2Cu3Ox is prepared using the equilibrium lines in the Po2 — T phase diagram during the sintering process. The irreversibility line determined from magnetization measurements can be described by the scaling relation H = a(1 — T/Tc)n, with n = 1.5 ± 0.1, irrespective of the oxygen content. The coefficient a is related to the critical current density Jc and decreases with decreasing oxygen content. The magnetic relaxation is obtained from the decay of the zero-field-cooled magnetization. The maximum in the temperature dependence of the relaxation rate shifts to lower temperatures with decreasing oxygen content.
