Abstract
The Mn 2+ lines of the ESR spectra are used to investigate the chemical decomposition processes of pure and impure C 3CO 3 (stalactite) samples. The results obtained are in very good agreement with those of the method of gravimetry. Thus it is suggested that the ESR technique can be used successfully in the study of decomposition processes of various samples.
