Abstract

This study aims to introduce a new approach to the creation of a water billing and monitoring system. In this approach, a circuit containing a digital flowmeter and Long Range (Lora) transmission components will be installed near a water line equipped with a water valve that can be remotely controlled. The digital flowmeter aims to measure the amount of water that comes out through the pipe, where the usage calculation results will be sent to the cloud server using the communication protocol provided by Lora. The novelty of this system is the use of the remotely-controlled water valve that can open and close the pipe flow automatically based on the changes in the user status from the server.
