Abstract

The problem of the interaction between ultrawideband (UWB) chaotic radio pulses and medium within living organisms is considered in the report. Cuvette filled with an aqueous solution of sucrose that emulates electromagnetic characteristics of a living organism was used during the experimental research of a pulse attenuation rate. The first experiments using chaotic UWB radio pulses occupying 3–5 GHz frequency domain were conducted in this area. Based on the values of transmitter radiated power and receiver sensitivity the maximum transmission distance within the living organism was estimated. The results were used to find out the possibility to use UWB chaotic radio pulses of this frequency domain for data transmission within living organisms.
