Abstract

Hole-burning spectra are considered, taking into account averaging over molecular orientations. Dependence of hole-burning spectra on the polarization of the probing laser is found. A method for finding the correct Debye-Waller factor from hole-burning and fluorescence line-narrowing spectra is suggested.
