Abstract
In this article an exact analytical expression is developed for the charge-versus-potential relationship that is obeyed by a planar electrode under the usual conditions of reversible cyclic voltammetry. Experiment confirms the theory. Applications to chemical analysis are discussed and some advantages are noted. Preliminary experiments show that micromolar concentrations may be assayed with ease.
