Abstract

This paper explores the relationships between corporate responsibility and business strategy. Corporate (Social) Responsibility is defined as “the integration of social and environmental concerns into business operations and in the relationships with stakeholders” (European Commission, 2001). Business strategy is a largely accepted concept, widely studied in management literature: e.g. strategy denotes the deliberate choice of activities that enable organizations to meet their objectives (Porter, 1996).
