Abstract

A novel composite electrocatalytic material (CoZ@xCNT), composed of Cobalt-injected cancrinite-structure nanozeolite (CoZ) and carbon nanotubes (CNT), was synthesized successfully. The CoZ was found to possess a cancrinite crystal structure and exhibit nanorod-like morphology. The tight binding between CoZ and CNT was beneficial for the electron transfer. The high-efficiency oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalytic electrodes (CoZ@xCNT@CC) were prepared, and CoZ@1CNT@CC displayed the largest electrochemical active area, low overpotential of 277 mV and Tafel slope of 86.5 mV·dec−1, and acceptable electrochemical catalytic stability. The combination of CoZ's catalytic ability and CNT's electron transfer ability should contribute to excellent OER catalytic performance.
