Abstract

Interactive genetic algorithm has very high application value and development prospects in the design fields dominated by the subjective perception of human beings such as music creation, art creation, architectural design, product color design. This paper applies the interactive genetic algorithm to the design of ceramic products which have not been designed before and researches on evolutionary algorithms in different application fields. The design scheme of ceramic products mainly comes from subjective aesthetic viewpoint and thinking mode. In order to get the user’s most satisfied ceramic products in terms of design style and color matching, this paper utilizes interactive genetic algorithm, transforming the problem of optimizing the design of ceramic products into implicit performance optimization. The specific steps are: first, the design scheme and color matching are coded; then through the various operations of genetic algorithm such as selecting operation, crossover operation and mutation operation, the next generation is generated; then the user fills in the satisfaction value of the individual more than once. Repeatedly, ceramic product modelling and color cater to the user’s preferences more and more. After many evolutionary processes, the optimal individual most favored by the user is finally generated.
