Abstract

The infrared spectrum of gas-phase InH in its ground electronic state ( 1Σ) has been observed using a diode laser spectrometer. The wavenumber of transitions with J-values up to 27 were determined in the fundamental and hot-bands up to ν=5←4. In all, 83 transitions were measured with a nominal accuracy of ±0.001 cm −1. These data have been used to obtain by far the most accurate values for the ground-state Dunham parameters available for InH. An improved value of r e = 1.8377630(63) Å has been determined.
