Abstract

The Information System for Research in Primary Care (SIDIAP 2020) platform was created in 2010 by the Catalan Health Institute (ICS) and the IDIAPJGol Institute. It was designed to provide a valid and reliable database of selected information from electronic health records (EHRs) of patients registered in primary care centres for use in biomedical research. SIDIAP includes information from EHR data registered since January 1, 2006 by more than 30,000 health professionals during routine visits at 328 primary care centres pertaining to the ICS in Catalonia, a region in the North-East of Spain. SIDIAP has pseudo-anonymised records with 5.7 million people active in 2019.
