Abstract

: Compared with conventional steam pyrolysis, catalytic pyrolysis has its own particular advantages. It can widen the range of pyrolysis feedstocks, increase the yields and selectivity of light olefins, reduce energy cost, and flexibly adjust product distribution. The influencing factors on catalytic pyrolysis processes and their product distribution, such as pyrolysis equipment, feedstock properties, catalyst types, and operating conditions have been reviewed in this paper. All of these factors have significant effects on the catalytic pyrolysis processes and their product distribution. Among these factors, feedstock properties and catalysts are the two key influencing factors.
