Abstract
The cycling efficiency of lithium in solutions of and in 2‐methyltetrahydrofuran was investigated by galvanostatic experiments and cyclic voltammetry. Traces of water lower the cycling efficiency of solutions, but produce an increase of the cycling efficiency of solutions, diminishing at water content above 500 ppm. Addition of 2‐methylfuran shows no effect. An increase of the lithium cycling efficiency of was observed after addition of small amounts of .
