Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and emotional intelligence on organizational commitment. The data was collected from 120 respondents from different organizations of IT sector of India. The study found that transformational leadership and emotional intelligence were related to organizational commitment. Both transformational leadership and emotional intelligence were found to have the significant influence to organizational commitment. This shows that transformational leadership and emotional intelligence have significantly enhanced the organizational commitment in Indian IT companies. This study also revealed that charisma aspect of transformational leadership and relationship management in emotional intelligence emerged as the most important factors that influence performance of organization. Findings, implications and recommendations for future research from this study are discussed.
