Abstract

Many factors influence employee performance including transactional leadership and work motivation. Leaders play an important role in achieving goals and increasing employee productivity through satisfying them with their jobs. As with work motivation, high work motivation will cause employees to work harder in carrying out their jobs. This study aims to see the effect of transactional leadership on employee performance with work motivation as an intervention variable. The population in this study were all 38 employees of PT Radja Jaen Saputra (Jaens Spa). The sample in this study used a saturated sampling technique where all members of the population were sampled as many as 38 employees. The analysis tool used is path analysis. The results of this study are transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect on performance through work motivation.
