Abstract

The article deals with the formation of concepts of modern students’ professional success in the state of psychological turbulence. The terms of social and psychological turbulence, as well as markers of turbulent thinking have been analyzed. Psychological characteristics of modern pupils and students, directly related to their inclusion in the virtual space, their ability to process and select a large amount of information, their inclination to make personalized choices and the need for an individual approach have been determined. In the practical research the Career Anchors methodology, aimed at identifying the structure of an individual’s career orientations associated with ideas of professional career and success, has been used. As well as the methodology analyzing individual ways of responding to stressful situations (coping strategies), with a predominance of rational or emotional components, avoiding a problem or social activity. The results of the study have showed the influence of accepting the state of psychological turbulence and the ability to function within it on the process and structure of professional planning.
