Abstract

Abstract The influence of the multiple scattering on the generation of radiation by a charged particle passing through one or two absorptive plates is considered. The frequency spectra for the total radiation and the boundary effect for both cases are obtained. It is shown that in the case of two plates the boundary effect consists of the one for the single plate multiplied by an effective number of plates and of the interference term. The latter is analyzed and it is revealed that the interference picture of radiation depends considerably on the formation zone of the transition radiation. When the Bremsstrahlung mechanism dominates, the Bremsstrahlung formation zone is also essential. The numerical results for the total radiation and boundary effect in the cases under consideration are presented.
