Abstract

The imperial examination system lasted more than 1,300 years from the birth of the Sui Dynasty to the fall of the Qing Dynasty, and had a great influence on Chinese history. The reform of the imperial examination in the Northern Song Dynasty was of great significance in the history of the Chinese imperial examination, and a series of its measures had a great influence on the politics, culture, education and other fields at that time. This paper discusses the influence of the imperial examination reform on the development and prosperity of literature from three aspects of talent guarantee, development environment and cultural environment.
