Abstract

AbstractThe pressure effect on the phase diagrams of the Si–Ge system are studied using an electronic theory based on pseudopotentials and considering lattice vibrational contributions. A region of phase mixture is increased under pressure, and the top of phase mixture rises at a rate of about 6 K per 109 Pa. The melting curves under compression show a drop in temperature.
