Abstract
The mechanics of contact interaction between a rigid sphere and a two-layered elastoplastic half-space (topocomposite) which imitates a surface hardened with the thin protective coating has been studied. The behavior of contact parameters of the deformation force, as well as its effective characteristics (load-carrying ability, yield point and compositional hardness) against the cost of the deformational hardening of the layered body base material has been investigated.
