Abstract

INTRODUCTION Softball was similar to baseball. It was short between base and base, defensive player must decrease defensive distance, so it needed less time to reflect. The baseball coefficient of restitution (COR) was used to calculate the average of rebound speed impacting a rigid surface. However the COR range was from 0 to 1 and the high COR was considered that the rebound speed was high (Adair, 2002). The testing method of COR was usually used to calculate the average of rebound and enter speed, so it could understand if the ball was menacing player (Adair, 2002).
