Abstract

Objective: Malnutrition is an essential problem in the late stage of Parkinson disease (PD). The pathogen- esis of malnutrition in PD is multifactorial: motor dysfunctions, antiparkinsonian drugs’ side effects, dysau- tonomia, cognitive dysfunction, depression, dietary manipulation, and lack of family attention. Autonomic disturbance, and other coexisting diseases must be considered in the analysis of malnutrition risk factors.
