Abstract

Aluminum borate whisker reinforced aluminum phosphates composites with SiO2 additive were prepared by pressureless sintering. The influence of SiO2 on aluminum borate whisker aluminum phosphates ceramic wave-transparent materials was investigated. It was found that after the sintering at 1050°C for 1h, the Vickers hardness of the composites with 5% SiO2 addition reaches 299MPa, the flexural strength 153.8MPa. The dielectric constantan and loss tangent of the composites are 2.8 and 0.03132 at 10GHz, respectively.
