Abstract

The nonuniform distribution of the sedimentary microfacies has a significant impact on fishbone wells steam stimulation effect. Different location and direction relationships that fishbone wells may have with the sedimentary facies belts and the provenance direction have been designed, and the numerical simulation method has also been applied to the research on the influence of provenance direction and facies belt distribution on fishbone wells steam stimulation effect to optimize well spacing. Results show that (a) the better properties of the phase where fishbone wells drill, the better steam stimulation production may achieve; and (b) the facies ordering has a significant effect on fishbone wells steam stimulation, when fishbone wells are perpendicular to the provenance direction.
