Abstract

Objective To explore the influence of planning respiratory function training on preventing pulmonary infection to cervical spinal cord injured patients.Methods From March 2006 to March 2008,30 patients who were selected as control group had consecutively undergone routine respiratory function training.Training group with38 patients selected by applying the same criteria from March 2009 to March 2011 adopted planning respiratory function.The difference of pulmonary infection rate between two groups after training four weeks was compared.Results The mean pulmonary infection rate of training group was 13.1%.that of comparison group was 46.6%.The difference between two groups was significant.( P =0.03 ).Conclusions Planning training can improve respiratory function,effectively prevent and reduce the occurrence of pulmonary infection.
