Abstract

The dependence of phloroglucinol ice-forming characteristics on the mean-cubed diameter of aerosol particles ( d 3), over a wide range of d 3 (200—10 4Å), has been studied. These experimental dependences have been compared with theoretical ones calculated on the basis of the Fletcher model of ice formation by particles with uniform surface. This model has been shown to disagree with experimental results.
