Abstract

J.N. Mohanty is one of those rare scholars who are cosmopolitan in a true sense. He is not only at home in the field of Indian philosophy, a creation of his native cultural soil, but also in Western philosophy, crossing with equal facility the so-called boundaries of the analytical and continental traditions.
