Abstract
The paper intends to study the relationship between political skills and impression management as well as the moderating role of personality (type A and type B) on the relationship in non-western world. 187 middle level managers belonging to the IT sector were surveyed to study political skills and impression management relationship and the moderating role personality (type A and type B) on the stated relationship. The study found that both the variables, i.e., political skills and personality (type A and type B) were significantly related to impression management but personality (type A) failed to moderate political skills and impression management relationship. The present study constituted a relatively small number of companies belonging only to Delhi-NCR region. The study is novel of its kind in the sense little work has been done on these dimensions in Indian context.
