Abstract
Periglacial processes have resulted in the formation of features including relict shear surfaces on failed slopes and gulls where valley cambering has occurred. This paper presents field observations of periglacial features encountered during construction of a dual carriageway between Tonbridge and Pembury in Kent. Methods to manage the risks presented by the features are included and the difficulty of identifying gull features is also discussed.
