Abstract

Using long time oxygen annealing at different temperatures and pressures the influence of oxygen stoichiometry in ReBa 2Cu 3O 7−δ (Re = Y, Tm, 0 ≤ δ ≤ 0.55) single crystals were studied. For lower oxygen content larger values of the intrinsic parameters λ and ξ are observed. The influence of oxygen deficiency on the irreversibility field, relaxation rate and “fishtail” feature was analyzed. A universal scaling behavior was found for these characteristics. At high temperatures the shape of the j(H) peak was unaffected by variation of δ, whereas at low T evidence for a δ dependent change of j(H) was observed.
