Abstract

We have reported on the detection of the axial distribution at the height of the flame of OH radials in an alcohol burner, in premixed methane/oxygen, and in solid propellant flames using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy. In this experiment, the influence of substances with different oxidizer contents on the OH fluorescence intensity was investigated. The results indicated that the oxidizer content exerted a strong influence on the combustion condition in the flame.
