Abstract

Measurements of the superconducting properties of Nb78Ga22−xMnx and Nb80Ga20−xMnx (with 0 ≦ x ≦ 6) alloys are presented. The critical temperature Tc, the temperature dependence of the upper critical field Hc2(T), the superconducting magnetization curves, and the normal state magnetic susceptibility χ(T) are given. For Nb78Ga22−xMnx and Nb80Ga20−xMnx alloys Tc decreases with Mn concentration with the slope –dTc/dx∣x→0, which for the arc-melted samples equals to 5.0 and 5.3 K/at % Mn, and for arc-melted and then annealed ones amounts to 4.9 and 5.7 K/at % Mn, respectively. The results of Tc measurements are compared with Abrikosov-Gorkov's (AG) theory. The slope dHc2/dT∣ is obtained from the Hc2(T) measurements and the results are compared with the double pair breaking theory. [Russian Text Ignored].
