Abstract

This study aims to: 1) examine and analyze the influence of leadership and communication styles on motivation, 2) examine and analyze the influence of leadership and communication styles on employee performance, 3) examine and analyze the influence of motivation on employee performance, 4) examine and analyze the influence of leadership styles on employee performance. leadership on employee performance through motivation, 5) examine and analyze the effect of communication on employee performance through motivation. The research was conducted at the Office of the State Property and Auction Service (KPKNL) Jakarta V with a research sample of 87 respondents. The sampling technique used a saturated sample. The data analysis method used descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results show that: 1) there is an influence of leadership style and motivation on motivation, 2) there is an influence of leadership and communication style on employee performance, 3) there is an influence of motivation on employee performance, 4) there is no influence of leadership style on employee performance through motivation, 5) there is no effect of communication on employee performance through motivation. Communication contributes greatly to employee performance than leadership style.
