Abstract
The effect of implanting with H, Ne and Ar in [111] (La, Ga) : YIG films is studied by spin wave resonance. Changes in Ku/M are observed to depend on dosage and implantation energy. Comparison of experimental spectra with numerically obtained spectra indicates that the damaged top layer exhibits a different Ku/M to the bulk.
