Abstract

The influence of graphene oxide (GO) on titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanocomposites were prepared by a combination of chemical deposition and microwave radiation. The XRD results revealed only the anatase phase of TiO2 without detection of GO. The oxygen functional groups and Ti-O-C were detected by FTIR, including two broad bands of G and D by Raman spectroscopy. When TiO2 was added by GO, the energy gap of the nanocomposites was reduced, and their conductivity was improved. Raman spectroscopy and SEM certified that the TiO2 added with GO sheets nanocomposites were composed of nanoparticles of anatase distributed across the GO sheets.
