Abstract

The influence of the systematic variations inherent in the pulse shapes from Ge(Li) detectors on the timing characteristics of the snap-off and constant fraction discriminators is calculated. The results are compared with experimental measurements. The expected and observed performance of the two timing discriminators is discussed.
