Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of health education based on motivation strategy on glaucoma patients' compliance behavior and daily living ability. Methods From January 2013 to May 2016, 66 patients with glaucoma in hospital were randomly divided into control group and study group according to the file order, 33 cases of each group.The control group was treated with conventional health education.The study group implemented health education based on motivational strategies based on routine health education.3 months after follow-up, compliance behavior, nursing satisfaction, daily life rating(ADL) before and after the intervention and disease improvement(visual field defect, intraocular pressure) were statistically compared between the two groups. Results Actively seeking professional help, regular review, self-monitoring, emotional regulation, avoid the disease-induced factors, the correct medication compliance rate of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The ADL scores after intervention between the two groups were significantly higher than those before intervention, and the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The visual field defects and intraocular pressure after intervention between the two groups were lower than those before intervention, and the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions The effect of health education based on motivational incentive strategy is significant, which can effectively improve the compliance, control the condition and improve the daily living ability and nursing satisfaction.
