Abstract

The issue of waste in Indonesia is a serious problem faced by the government and society. Organic waste is the largest percentage of all types of waste generated which can cause negative impacts on the environment. It is necessary to process organic waste in a short time. Eco-enzyme is an alternative in processing organic waste that can be a bioactivator in composting organic waste into compost. One of the media that can be used in composting is biopori infiltration holes. This research aims to determine the optimal dose in the addition of eco-enzyme as a bioactivator in accelerating composting. The stages carried out in this study were preparing tools and materials. Adding organic waste into biopore holes, and conducting scheduled monitoring of the decrease in organic waste in composting. The results of this study show that in Biopore Infiltration Hole 6 with a dose of 60 ml of eco-enzyme is able to decompose organic waste faster than other doses. The high dose given can accelerate the composting process, this is because eco-enzyme contains many microorganisms that can accelerate composting..
