Abstract

Though Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion ACDF procedure with peek cages is a well accepted treatment for cervical radiculopathy, the exact relationship between cervical spine alignment CSA and the clinical outcome after ACDF is not well recognized. Considering the biomechanics of the cervical spine, one of the main goals of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion is to maintain or to restore normal CSA. Progression of the degenerative changes in the cervical spine alters the proper CSA and may indirectly decreases the effect of our treatment.
