Abstract

This paper examines the influence which Boal has had on the Theatre in Education (TIE) movement in Britain. It documents the extent to which TIE companies have used strategies such as Forum Theatre and Image Theatre in their work and provides examples of such practice. The paper also acknowledges some of the problems and difficulties of using Boal's strategies in educational settings.
